Burnout makes every option look urgent. Before you resign, notice whether the problem is the work itself, the conditions around the work, or the pace at which you have been carrying it. A role can be misaligned, and it can also be true that you need recovery before you can evaluate it clearly.

Ask what feels different after a real break, a boundary reset, or a more honest conversation about your workload. If the same dread remains once your nervous system has room to settle, that is useful information. You do not need certainty to begin exploring a change; you need enough clarity to make the next thoughtful move.
